' For lots other than residential, the code enforcement board may approve barbed wire or electrically charged fencing, but only if it is not below a height of seven feet, and any electrically charged fence approved this way must be clearly identified as such, presumably to warn passersby of the shock hazard. The article's district-specific rules in Secs. 6-310 through 6-312 separately cap ordinary residential fence heights at four feet in a front yard and seven feet in a side or rear yard, and require security fencing at least four feet high with voids no wider than four inches around certain screened equipment and trash enclosures, so an approved seven-foot barbed-wire or electric fence on a non-residential lot substantially exceeds those ordinary height limits by design.
