Cicero, IL Filming & Production: Student Filming (2026)

Section 82-404, immediately following the base permit requirement in Section 82-403, gives the Town President authority to waive the filming production permit process for four categories of filmmaker: students, governmental bodies, not-for-profit organizations and other charitable organizations. The waiver is discretionary rather than automatic. The section states the Town President 'at his or her sole and absolute discretion, may waive any and all requirements of the filming production permit process,' so a student production is not exempt by default and must still ask the President's Office of Filming, the division created by Section 82-400 and staffed by the Film Production Permit Officer under Section 82-401, to grant the waiver before filming.
