Full Breakdown

Edison's filming fee schedule sets the standard permit at $100 for a normal application and $250 for an expedited one, but § 11-34.5c carves out a flat $25 fee for nonprofit applicants filming for educational purposes, including on public lands, with no daily rate required. A student production sponsored by a nonprofit or school qualifies for this reduced tier, though it must still go through the same location-permit process, Clerk application, four business days' notice, insurance and bond requirements, as any other filming under § 11-34.2 and § 11-34.4.

Violations & Fines

Misrepresenting a shoot as nonprofit/educational to claim the reduced fee, or filming without the underlying permit, exposes the applicant to permit denial or revocation and the Code's general penalty of up to a $2,000 fine or 90 days under § 1-5.1.
