Per Provo City's Recreational Fire Pit Guidelines, fire pits are permitted at residences. Maximum fuel area: 3 feet in diameter by 2 feet in height. A spark arrestor screen with openings no larger than Β½ inch is required. Only dry, clean natural materials may be burned. Fires must be constantly attended and a garden hose or bucket of water must be readily available. Air quality must be verified as a green burn day before any fire.
Non-compliant fire pits may result in fire code citations. Fires during Red/Yellow air action days carry up to $150 DAQ fine.
