Provo City Code Chapter 9.43 adopts Utah's State Fireworks Act. Class C (1.4G) consumer fireworks are permitted during specific windows: July 2โ5 (11 AMโ11 PM, extended to midnight on July 4) and July 22โ25 (11 AMโ11 PM, extended to midnight on July 24 โ Pioneer Day). December 31 (11 AM to 1 AM January 1) and Chinese New Year's Eve (11 AM to 1 AM the following day) are also allowed. Discharge is permitted in most of Provo and in over a dozen designated city parks including Sertoma, Exchange, Fort Utah, Sunset View, Provost, Kiwanis, Franklin, Carterville, Lakeview, Maeser, Rotary, Riverview, and Spring Creek. The eastern foothill zone (east of US-89) is a prohibited area due to wildfire risk. Boundary generally follows 1320 South, Slate Canyon Drive, Seven Peaks Blvd, 700 North, 1200 East, Birch Lane, 900 East, 2200 North, and Timpview Drive.
