Orem adopts Utah's state fireworks law allowing Class C (1.4G) consumer fireworks during July 2–5 (Independence Day window) and July 22–25 (Pioneer Day window), 11 AM to 11 PM, extended to midnight on July 4 and July 24. Orem-specific restrictions: fireworks prohibited within 100 feet of any undeveloped area of the city; within 500 feet of any National Forest or BLM lands; and in all city parks. A restriction map showing prohibited zones (highlighted in yellow) is available at orem.gov/fireworks. Violations carry fines up to $1,000 under Utah Code §53-7-225. Persons who start a fire — even with legal fireworks — are liable for all fire suppression costs and damages.
