Milwaukee Code Β§105.47 prohibits the sale, use, possession, and discharge of all fireworks within city limits, including sparklers and novelties that may be legal under Wisconsin state law. The ban was enacted after a 2006 Fireworks Task Force study. Fines can reach $1,000 per violation. Only professional pyrotechnic displays at permitted community events are exempt.
