Pawtucket, RI Fire Regulations: Fireworks (2026)

Section 210-8 of the Fire Prevention chapter draws a sharp line: manufacturing fireworks is prohibited within the city outright, full stop. For everything else, subsection B states plainly that the sale and discharge of fireworks is governed by Chapter 11-13 of the Rhode Island General Laws and that 'no provision for the regulation thereof is provided herein,' meaning Pawtucket has not layered any additional local licensing, hours, or location restriction on top of the state statute. This sits alongside neighboring fire-safety provisions in the same article: § 210-6 separately bans manufacturing explosives, blasting agents and pyrotechnics generally (with an exception for hand-loading small-arms ammunition for personal use), and § 210-7 bans storing explosives and blasting agents except in limited quantities tied to approved blasting work. Because § 210-8 sets no fireworks-specific penalty, a violation of the manufacturing ban falls back on the Code's general penalty provision.
