Fresno County Ordinance Code Title 10 prohibits the sale, possession, storage, and discharge of all fireworks (including state-approved 'Safe and Sane') in unincorporated areas. Only incorporated cities within Fresno County may choose to allow 'Safe and Sane' fireworks per CA H&S Code §12500-12728. Illegal fireworks (aerial, firecrackers, M-80s) are banned countywide. CAL FIRE and Fresno County Fire Protection District enforce, with zero-tolerance policies during fire season. Violators may be billed for wildfire suppression costs under Government Code §53150.
