Cedar Hill Code of Ordinances Chapter 6, Article II, Section 6-30 (2015 IFC amendments) prohibits open burning within city limits. Burning in approved containers requires 15 feet minimum from structures. Small piles must be 25 feet from structures. All open burning must be constantly attended with a minimum 4-A rated fire extinguisher or equivalent (water barrel, garden hose, water truck, or sand/dirt) immediately available.
