' The subsection defines 'liquefied petroleum gas' (also called 'lp gas' or 'lpg') as any material composed predominantly of propane, propylene, butanes (normal or iso-butane) or butylenes, and defines a 'distributing point' as a facility, other than a distributing or industrial plant, that normally receives gas by tank truck and fills small containers or vehicle fuel tanks on-site, giving an LP gas service station as an example. All such equipment, tanks and installations must comply with the city's adopted fire code.

Separately, Subsection B requires a temporary permit, capped at sixty days and issued only for construction projects, for any flammable-liquid storage located outside the I-1 and I-2 industrial zones, reinforcing that ordinary aboveground fuel storage is otherwise steered toward industrial areas or held to the 1,000-gallon LP gas ceiling. A narrow exception in Subsection C allows tanks over 1,000 gallons for aircraft refueling at the Santa Fe Regional Airport, still subject to the adopted fire code.
