Euless, TX Fire Regulations: Wildfire Zones (2026)

The City of Euless is a fully developed suburban community in the Mid-Cities area of Tarrant County, bordered by DFW Airport and intersected by State Highway 183 and State Highway 360. Unlike Hill Country or East Texas piney-woods communities, Euless is not included in the Texas A&M Forest Service Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) mapping and has no formally designated wildfire hazard severity zones. The Community Wildfire Protection Plan framework used in WUI cities does not apply here. Residual wildfire risk in Euless is limited to grass and brush fires along undeveloped tracts, the Trinity River corridor, utility easements, and vacant lots, which can flash through dry grass during summer drought. During Tarrant County Fire Marshal burn bans, any outdoor open flame is prohibited and defensible-space orders can be issued for structures adjacent to heavy fuel loads. Homeowners in HOAs near the Trinity River floodway or in older neighborhoods with mature cedar and juniper plantings should maintain a 30-foot clear zone around the home, screen attic and eave vents to keep embers out, and keep gutters free of debris. No special wildfire construction standards (ignition-resistant siding, roofs, or vent mesh sizing) are mandated by Euless.
