Parker, CO Food Trucks & Mobile Vendors: Food Truck Permits (2026)

Parker Municipal Code § 13.05.060(c)(3) governs mobile businesses, the LDO's category covering food trucks and other vehicle-based vendors. No mobile business may operate anywhere in the Town without first getting a Mobile Business Permit, and the application must include a Mobile Business Permit application, a copy of the operator's current Town Business and Tax License, and copies of any required permits from the Douglas County Health Department. Permits run for a two-year cycle and expire December 31 of each even-numbered year, tied to the same December 31 renewal used for the Town's Business and Tax License system.

Operating hours are fixed at 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and all generators, lights, music, speakers, and site activity must stop within thirty minutes of closing or 10:00 p.m., whichever comes first, unless the truck is paired with a brick-and-mortar business's own extended hours or an approved Community Event. Vendors must comply with the currently adopted International Building Code, National Electric Code, and International Fire Code, and South Metro Fire Rescue may require its own separate permit. Trucks cannot block fire lanes or intersection sight-distance triangles, may display one sandwich board sign and one temporary banner under the Sign Code, and must keep trash, recycling, and waste either inside the vehicle or in a fully enclosed, screened area under Chapter 13.08.
