Parker, CO Parking Rules: Overnight Parking (2026)

Parker Municipal Code § 7.02.085 is the Town's general overtime parking rule. It does not set a fixed overnight curfew for every street. Instead it enforces whatever time period or time-of-day restriction appears on a sign, or in another section of Chapter 7.02, for a given space or designated area.

There are two separate triggers. Under subsection (a), where parking is prohibited beyond a stated period, a vehicle is in violation if it has not been moved at least one hundred (100) feet from that parking space, or moved completely outside of the entire designated area, by the end of the stated period. Moving a car one stall over does not reset the clock. Subsection (b) makes it unlawful to use a space beyond the time limit shown on the sign accompanying it.

Subsection (c) covers time-of-day bans. If a section of the chapter or a posted sign prohibits parking for any stated time of day, the vehicle violates the rule simply by being in that space or area during the prohibited times. Subsection (d) makes it unlawful to use a parking space outside the specific times of day shown on the signs at that space or lot. That is the provision a driver runs into when a Town lot or space is signed against parking during certain hours.

Subsection (e) limits the scope: the section applies to property that is owned, leased, or licensed by the Town. Private lots are governed by Parker Municipal Code § 7.02.030 and the owner's own signs instead.

This rule works alongside other Town parking provisions. Section 7.04.020(c) separately addresses vehicles left in public parking lots beyond twenty-four (24) consecutive hours, and § 7.02.080 addresses large vehicles on residential streets. Section 7.02.085 is the catch-all for a stated time limit or stated hours on a sign.
