Parker, CO Parking Rules: Commercial & Oversized Vehicles (2026)

Section 7.02.080 of the Parker Municipal Code targets large commercial vehicles parked on residential streets. The general rule bars parking any truck-tractor, semitrailer, trailer or recreational vehicle on a public street or highway in Parker at all, subject to two numeric carve-outs. Subsection (2) lets a vehicle over 6,000 pounds empty weight or 22 feet long, an unattached automobile or boat trailer, a truck-tractor or a semitrailer sit on a public street entirely within a zoned residential area for up to 48 hours in any given week, but only if the vehicle is not actively engaged in rendering services in the immediate area, in which case the clock does not run.

Once the 48-hour window in a week passes, continued parking becomes unlawful. Owners cannot dodge the clock by relocating the vehicle to a new spot to restart the count: Subsection (4) makes that relocation itself a separate violation. Outside those two exceptions, truck-tractor and semitrailer parking or storage on a residential street is allowed only in an area the Town has marked with an official sign permitting it, per Subsection (5).
