Full Breakdown

Anyone operating a mobile food facility, a food truck or trailer, on private property in Turlock must first obtain a mobile food facility permit from the Development Services Director. The permit is tied to one specific location and operator, is not transferable, and does not authorize operation on public property or in the public right-of-way. Applications must be filed at least fifteen days before start-up, and the Director must act within fifteen days of a complete application. Permitted trucks are limited to commercial and industrial zones (with some overlay-district exceptions), and the permit expires every December 31st, though renewals are unlimited.

Violations & Fines

Operating without a permit or on public property violates TMC § 9-2-124(b); the City may suspend or revoke the permit under TMC Chapter 9-5 Article 11, and suspension is automatic if the county health permit lapses.
