Vineland, NJ Food Trucks & Mobile Vendors: Food Truck Permits (2026)

Section 630-26.1, added in November 2025, governs public events held on private property in the City of Vineland, including events with 50 or more expected attendees (the ordinance's 'attendee threshold'). Under Subsection D, an event organizer's permit application, due at least 90 days before the event date, must state whether food, beverages or snacks will be prepared on-site and how many food trucks or vendors will attend, and must include proof of Health Department approval for all food, beverage and snack vendors, on-site cooking operations and mobile food vendors; the same subsection specifies that a separate vendor's license is required for those vendors in accordance with Chapter 676 of the City Code, the transient-merchant and itinerant-vendor licensing chapter.

Subsection E adds that all permitted events must meet Health Code compliance standards for every food, beverage and snack vendor, including valid Health Department and fire permits, required inspections and hand-washing stations. The standard event application fee is $350, non-refundable, reduced to $100 for Vineland-based nonprofit organizations with proof of 501(c)(3) status and local incorporation, plus a separate $50 Special Events Committee review fee. The City reviews the application and must deny it or issue written comments, conditions or additional requirements no later than 60 days before the event.
