Greensboro, NC Food Trucks & Mobile Vendors: Sidewalk & Mobile Vending (2026)

Code of Ordinances Sec. 26-230(a) makes it unlawful to display, store, sell or offer for sale any goods, wares, merchandise or other tangible item on a Greensboro street or sidewalk, defining "sidewalk" as any portion of property the city maintains for pedestrian traffic. The only sidewalk-vending carve-out in the general prohibition is for pushcart mobile food vendors operating under division 2 of the chapter, and only on sidewalks adjacent to and upon property zoned central business ("CB"), and even then, only with a permit.
