Corvallis, OR Food Trucks & Mobile Vendors: Vending Zones (2026)

Corvallis Municipal Code § 8.13.060(1)(a) limits year-round siting of Mobile Food Units to private properties in a Commercial Mixed Use Zone (CMU-1, CMU-2, or CMU-3) or the OSU Zone, meaning a truck cannot be sited on residential, industrial, or most other zoned property under this year-round permit path. Within those zones, Section 8.13.060(1)(b) sets a 2-foot minimum street setback for any unit whose service window faces the public right-of-way, and that orientation is only allowed where a minimum 5-foot-wide sidewalk runs along the street frontage; units facing away from the right-of-way have no minimum setback there.

Section 8.13.060(1)(c) requires a 2-foot minimum setback along any alley right-of-way, and Section 8.13.060(1)(d) sets a 6-foot minimum interior yard setback. Section 8.13.060(1)(e) adds separation standards between features on a single site: 6 feet between individual Mobile Food Units, 6 feet from structures such as decks, patios, and permanent seating, and 4 feet from temporary seating built of non-flammable materials. No unit, common seating area, or other site feature may encroach into the public right-of-way or a required vision clearance area. Section 8.13.060(1)(j) permits one temporary sign per unit, up to six square feet, placed only on private property outside any right-of-way or vision clearance area, and exempts signage permanently affixed to the unit itself from the Land Development Code's sign standards.
