A copy of the written permission shall be kept in the mobile food unit at all times. Full Breakdown

Sec. 10-578(b) sets the zoning restrictions for licensed mobile food establishments. Vendors may not operate in a congested area that impedes or inconveniences public use, and are barred outright from any public park, playground, school, library, or other public premises. Selling on private property requires the owner's written permission, kept in the unit at all times, and the vendor must leave if the owner or a City official asks. Within 500 feet of Bay Beach Amusement Park, or any City-licensed fair, festival, or civic event, a vendor also needs the event sponsor's written permission before setting up.

Violations & Fines

A vendor who ignores these location limits violates Article XIV and faces a forfeiture of $1.00 to $500.00 per offense (Sec. 10-579), plus possible license suspension or revocation for 10 to 90 days (Sec. 10-576).
