Ashwaubenon, WI Food Trucks & Mobile Vendors: Vending Zones (2026)

Beyond licensing, Chapter 6, Article 12 of the Ashwaubenon Municipal Code layers zoning-based limits onto where a mobile food establishment can actually park and sell. Section 6-12-463(G)(3)(h) permits mobile food establishments in every zoning district in the Village except a residential zoning district, carving out an exception for trucks whose sales come primarily from ice cream and frozen novelties, which may operate in residential areas as well. Separately, (G)(3)(b) bars a vendor from preparing, cooking, selling or vending within 300 feet of school grounds at all, regardless of zoning district, unless the activity is part of a non-profit or civic event and the school or school district has given written permission.

Vendors also cannot operate within 300 feet of a fair, festival, special event or civic event licensed or sanctioned by the Village under (G)(3)(f) unless the event's sponsor consents in writing, and under (G)(3)(a) a vendor may not operate anywhere that impedes public use of alleys, sidewalks, streets, parks, playgrounds or libraries without authorization from the Department of Public Safety or Department of Parks and Recreation. m.
