Cobb Zoning Ordinance §134 restricts mobile food vending to approved commercial zones (GC, NRC) with property-owner consent. Not allowed in residential zones or public right-of-way. No county-run street vending program.
Cobb County does not operate a public-street food-truck program. Mobile food vending is only permitted in General Commercial (GC) and Neighborhood Retail Commercial (NRC) districts or in Office/Industrial zones as an accessory use, and only on private property with written permission from the property owner. The Zoning Ordinance requires the vending location to meet parking, setback, and dumpster-screening standards — trucks cannot block required parking spaces, fire lanes, or drive aisles. Residential zones (R-80 through R-12) prohibit commercial food vending outright. Operating in Cobb's public right-of-way is prohibited. Special events (Truist Park vicinity, Cobb Galleria, Jim Miller Park festivals) require an event permit through Cobb Parks or Cobb Travel & Tourism that covers vendor participation.
Vending in residential zone or ROW: §134 zoning citation $250–$1,000. No owner consent: trespass plus Ch. 90 violation. Event vending without permit: removal + fine.
