EMMC 17.80.100 regulates temporary signage for small private sales events, defined as yard sales, garage sales and moving sales, and subsection C sets the duration limit for the event itself, not just its signs: no sale or signage will be permitted for more than two consecutive days. That means a resident cannot run a garage sale, or keep sale signage up, across a longer stretch such as an entire weekend plus a following day.

The same subsection separately limits how long directional signs may stay up in the public right-of-way: those signs may be posted only on the day of the sale, and must be removed by the end of that day, regardless of how many days the sale itself runs under the two-day cap. Responsibility for pulling down the signage on time falls on the sale's owner. Subsection D backs the duration limit with a registration requirement: a yard or garage sale must be registered with the city before any signage is allowed in the public right-of-way at all, and any right-of-way sign that was never registered is subject to immediate removal by the city.
