Under EMMC 17.60.120: front yard fences may not exceed 4 feet in height. Wing fencing (from front corners of the residence to the side property line) may be up to 6 feet. Side and rear yard fences (from the front wall plane to the rear property line) may be up to 6 feet. Height is measured from finished grade at the fence location. Barbed wire and electric wire fences for animal enclosures are allowed in rear yards only, up to 6 feet. Properties along Ranches Parkway must install 'Monterey Gray' colored wood fences (6-foot maximum) where screening has not been installed by the developer. Fences constructed of broken, unsightly, or flammable materials constitute an unlawful nuisance.
