Section 6.05 of Appendix A, titled 'Garage, rummage sales or owner made craft sales,' sets two hard numeric limits rather than a permit process. Subsection (a) caps duration: each occasion shall not take place for a period of time longer than twelve (12) hours per day for a maximum of three (3) consecutive days. Subsection (b) caps frequency at the property level: there shall not be more than three (3) occasions per year. Because the section requires no building or sign permit for the sale itself, residents don't file paperwork with the Village before holding one, but the day-count and yearly-occasion limits are enforceable zoning standards, not suggestions.

A resident who wants a fourth sale in a calendar year, or who tries to stretch a sale past three consecutive days or run it more than 12 hours in a single day, is outside what § 6.05 authorizes. The section cross-references the Village's sign rules for event signage: Article VIII, § 8.06(e)(1) separately regulates the number, size, height and display hours of garage-sale signs placed in the public right-of-way for a residential-district sale, and expressly points back to § 6.05 for the underlying sale itself.
