Board elections must use secret ballots, an independent inspector of elections, and allow all members to vote by mail (Civil Code §5100–5145). Annual meetings require 10-45 days notice. Emergency board meetings may be called with 2 days notice for urgent matters. Boards must have at least 3 directors and may serve up to 4-year terms.
