Miami-Dade County Code Section 33-25.1 restricts customer and client traffic at home occupations. The business must not generate traffic incompatible with residential character. Individual educational instruction and music or art lessons for individual students are permitted. General business use that normally utilizes vehicular equipment is excluded. Deliveries must be limited to what is normal for a residence. No on-site employees other than the resident are permitted. The home occupation must not create parking demand beyond what is normal for a residential use. All activities must occur indoors. The dwelling must maintain its residential appearance.
Excessive traffic or parking at a home occupation site may trigger code enforcement action. The Certificate of Use may be revoked for repeated violations of customer traffic restrictions.
