Chapter 190, Article X follows the state Family Day Care Provider Registration Act and allows registered family day-care homes for three to five children for at least fifteen hours per week. The use must be limited to the first floor and cannot occupy more than 25% of the habitable floor area of the residence, or 50% of the ground-floor habitable area, whichever is less. No non-resident staff are permitted, and there can be no exterior signs or visible business activity.
