HMC Title 19 (Zoning) establishes home occupation as a permitted accessory use in all residential zones subject to strict conditions. The business must be conducted entirely within the dwelling or attached garage, occupy no more than a limited percentage of floor area, employ only persons residing on the premises, and produce no external evidence such as signage, display, or outdoor storage. On-site customer or client visits are generally prohibited or strictly limited, and no more than one business-related vehicle may be parked on-site. Prohibited home occupations include auto repair, welding, kennels, adult businesses, restaurants, and any activity creating noise, vibration, odor, dust, smoke, or electrical interference beyond normal residential levels. Applicants must obtain a Henderson business license through the Business Operations Division and register with the Nevada Secretary of State. HOA communities such as Anthem, Sun City Anthem, Green Valley Ranch, Inspirada, and Cadence may impose additional restrictions under recorded CC and Rs, which are enforceable under NRS 116.
