Henderson prohibits exterior signs, displays, or advertising for home occupations under HMC Title 19. Residences must retain residential appearance with no street-visible business indication. HOAs add further bans.
Under HMC Title 19 home-occupation standards, one of the core requirements is that there be no external evidence of the business. That means no yard signs, no window signs, no illuminated displays, no banners, no A-frames, and no vehicle wraps parked on the driveway advertising the business. A small address plate identifying the residence is allowed, but commercial signage of any kind is prohibited. Temporary real estate and political signs are regulated separately under Title 19 sign standards and are permitted within size and duration limits. HOAs in master-planned communities like Anthem, Inspirada, Cadence, Green Valley, Seven Hills, and MacDonald Highlands enforce stricter aesthetic controls through CC and Rs, often prohibiting any visible sign other than address numbers. Commercial vehicles may also be subject to parking restrictions under HOA and HMC parking rules.
Signage for a home occupation is a zoning violation under HMC Title 19: notice, daily fines, and potential revocation of the home occupation approval.
