Henderson's Development Code requires new multi-family projects to build a share of their off-street parking as EV-ready. Projects with 25 or more required spaces must make 25% EV-capable (wired and conduit-ready) and 3% EV-installed (working chargers). Developments where at least 75% of units are income-restricted are exempt. At least one ADA-compliant EV-installed space must sit next to an ADA parking space. The location of EV spaces must be shown on entitlement and permit site plans, and EV-installed spaces need signage or pavement marking identifying them as EV-reserved. The rule took effect March 8, 2024 under Ordinance No. 4010.
