Exterior signage for home-based businesses is prohibited in West Palm Beach residential zones under City Code §94 Article VIII (Signs). Only standard residential address numbers and one nameplate identifying the resident are allowed.
No window signs, yard signs, illuminated displays, vehicle wraps parked overnight, or directional signage advertising a home occupation are permitted. Nameplates may not exceed 1 square foot and may not include logos, slogans, phone numbers, or hours. The sign rules apply equally to cottage food operations and short-term rentals. Temporary contractor signs during permitted work are exempt.
