City Code §12-118 bars overnight camping within the boundaries of any Louisburg park facility, the same facilities defined in §12-104 as Louisburg City Park, Lewis/Young Park, City Lake/Ron Weers Park and the Louisburg Aquatic Center. The only exception covers overnight camping that an organized group conducts or sponsors after the Park & Tree Board has approved a reservation for a designated campsite; informal or unauthorized camping, including anyone sleeping in a vehicle, tent or bedroll on park grounds overnight without that reservation, falls outside the exception and is unlawful.

The camping ban sits alongside other park-use rules enforced by the same Board and the Louisburg Police Department under §12-102's grant of police jurisdiction over parks: §12-129 separately bars bringing outside refuse into a park for disposal, and §12-123 bars damaging or removing park property, both of which the Board can apply when clearing an unauthorized camp. A violation of the camping prohibition is a Class C violation under §12-147, carrying a fine of up to $500, up to one month in the city or county jail, or both, with the court authorized to add alcohol or drug education if liquor or cereal malt beverage use was involved.

The article's disclaimer of liability in §12-106 also shields the City, the Board and their officers from personal-injury or property claims arising from enforcement action taken in good faith against a camp.
