Louisburg, KS Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

City Code Section 14-205, part of the Standard Traffic Ordinance as locally modified, bars parking on City streets within thirty (30) feet of either side of any Neighborhood Delivery Collection Box Unit, or NDCBU, with the restricted area marked by a no-parking sign, a painted yellow line, or both. The section also designates specific no-parking locations by name: the lake side of Shoreline Drive, the interior side of the curve on Broadmoor Drive, the east side of Lakeview Drive, the east side of Danford Drive, both sides of Countryside Drive south of South 5th Street East including the cul-de-sac, and the west side of Peoria Street between South Second Street and Amity Street.

On the east side of that same Peoria Street segment, Section 14-205(b) instead posts a restricted 30-minute parking zone rather than an outright ban. Subsection (c) puts the Chief of Police in charge of erecting the required signs and painted lines, and the restriction only takes legal effect once the markers are actually installed. Subsection (d) makes violating any of these provisions unlawful, and Section 14-201 confirms these rules modify the Standard Traffic Ordinance the City adopted for enforcement citywide. The Police Department enforces the traffic code from Chapter 10 and issues citations under that Standard Traffic Ordinance framework.
