The county adopted the International Property Maintenance Code in December 2025 but explicitly deleted Section 302.4, Weeds, from both the property maintenance code (§105-87(6)) and housing code (§105-102(7)) before adoption, per Ord. No. 15-12-2025 and Ord. No. 16-12-2025. That leaves unincorporated Linn County without a countywide grass or weed height ordinance. The one exception: licensed mobile home parks, where §107-146(dd)(4) requires brush, weeds and grass be controlled to prevent tick and chigger harborage. Residents in Cedar Rapids, Marion or other incorporated cities are covered by those cities' own codes, not this one.
