Cherry Hill, NJ Mobility & Curb Rules: Bike Lane Rules (2026)

Ordinance #2013-20 ratified the Township's bicycle path project on King's Highway. The northeast lane is a five-foot-wide striped bicycle lane marked with "Bike Lane" and traffic-control signage, beginning intermittently at Oxford Street and running to Montana Avenue, then continuing as a signed shared-use "Bike Lane, Share the Road" route northeast to the Connector Road intersection. On the southwest side the striped lane is four feet wide, running from Oregon Avenue to Oxford Street, then continuing as a signed shared-use route to Munn Avenue. Combined, the signed shared-use portion covers roughly one mile of King's Highway in both directions, delineated with striping on each side of the lane, and constructed to New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) design standards.

Subsection b of § 10-23 approves the striped portion of the roadway for "bicycle and pedestrian use only" and expressly prohibits parking along the striped sections of the route. 00, imprisonment up to 90 days, or up to 90 days of community service for any Code violation carrying no penalty of its own, at the discretion of the Municipal Court judge. 5, each day a vehicle remains parked in the striped lane in violation of § 10-23 counts as a separate offense.
