020 requires bicyclists to ride within a marked bicycle lane whenever one is provided, riding single file unless the lane is wider than five feet, in which case two abreast is allowed when prudent. 020(E) sets out how cyclists may make left turns at and away from intersections. 020(G) requires a motorist to yield to any bicycle in the lane before crossing it. 030 separately bans operating any motor-powered device in a marked bike lane, riding at an unreasonable speed, parking a bicycle so it blocks a street or sidewalk, riding recklessly, disobeying traffic control devices, and failing to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk or sidewalk. 5. Maintenance and emergency vehicles may use bike lanes whenever necessary.
