Bartow County, GA Mobility & Curb Rules: Red-Light Cameras (2026)

Chapter 70, Article IV, the 'Automated Traffic Enforcement Ordinance' adopted March 10, 2021, authorizes only two camera programs in unincorporated Bartow County: school-zone speed enforcement and school bus stop-arm enforcement. There is no ordinance provision here for red-light cameras at intersections. Under § 70-102, a school zone, defined in § 70-101 as the area within 1,000 feet of a public or private elementary or secondary school's boundary, may be enforced by photographically recorded images only for violations occurring on a school day during instructional hours, one hour before classes begin, and one hour after they end, and only when the vehicle is going more than ten miles per hour over the posted limit.
