Unlike Las Vegas, Henderson has not authorized large-scale shared e-scooter operations. Personal e-scooters are permitted under Nevada NRS 484B with helmet rules for under-18 riders and bike-lane usage required where available.
Henderson has so far declined to permit dockless shared e-scooter operators (Lime, Bird, Spin) within city limits, in contrast to downtown Las Vegas's pilot program. Personal e-scooters are governed by Nevada NRS 484B which classifies them similar to bicycles β riders must use bike lanes or rightmost lane, yield to pedestrians on sidewalks, follow traffic signals, and riders under 18 must wear helmets. Sidewalk riding is permitted in Henderson except in posted business districts. Future shared-mobility pilots would require Council action and franchise agreement.
E-scooter traffic violations carry NRS 484B citations identical to bicycle penalties. Sidewalk riding in posted no-zones can be cited as pedestrian-safety infraction.
