010 defines a "motorized foot scooter" as a device with no more than two ten-inch or smaller diameter wheels, handlebars, and a deck the operator stands or sits on, powered by a gas engine or electric motor. 020, both gas and electric motorized foot scooters may run on roadways, shoulders and alleys, but are prohibited on any City street with a posted maximum speed limit greater than 25 miles per hour, on any sidewalk, on any bicycle lane, and on any multipurpose trail; the code repeats this four-part ban identically for the gas and electric categories.
