11(A)(24), makes it unlawful within any city park or designated city open space to use or operate mechanical or amplified music, sound or voice. 11(A) that also bars firearms, glass containers, and unpermitted commercial activity, but the amplified-sound clause is notably broader than its neighbors: while the adjoining drone and business-solicitation clauses at (22) and (23) apply only in a manner that creates a disturbance to other park guests or displaces them, clause (24) carries no such qualifier, so it reaches any mechanical or amplified sound regardless of volume or effect on bystanders.

Two carve-outs temper the reach of the ban. 11(B) allows the city to waive any park rule, including the sound ban, for good cause when an applicant submits a written request in advance. 11 as is reasonably necessary for operation of the event, which is how the city can run a concert or festival with a PA system in a city park. 99, a fine of up to $500 per offense with each day treated as a separate offense.
