Contra Costa County Noisy Animal Ordinance (Code §416-12.202) makes it unlawful to have an animal that creates noise for 30 continuous minutes (incessant) or 60 minutes off and on in 24 hours (intermittent). Responsible persons can be fined.
Under the CCC Noisy Animal Ordinance, any incessant or intermittent noise that causes a disturbance, including barking, howling, crying, or baying, violates the ordinance. Complainants must submit a notarized affidavit within 60 days to Animal Services at 4800 Imhoff Place, Martinez, CA 94553. The Department considers the extent and duration before issuing a Notice of Citation and Fine. The responsible person includes anyone with custody or control of property where the noisy animal is kept.
