Unincorporated Cobb County does not single out leaf blowers in its Code of Ordinances. Gas-powered blowers are widely used by lawn crews serving Cobb's heavily wooded subdivisions. Operation is permitted so long as it complies with the Noise Ordinance (Ch. 50, Art. VII, §§50-256/50-257): 70 dB daytime, 65 dB from 11 PM to 7 AM, and not plainly audible at 100 feet from source. The 2023 noise amendment expressly named generators and power washers but did NOT add a leaf-blower restriction. Sunday use is allowed 9 AM to 6:59 PM under the same 2023 amendment. HOAs in East Cobb, Vinings, and West Cobb frequently impose stricter landscaping-hour covenants. Georgia has no state-level gas-equipment restriction.
