Full Breakdown
Unincorporated Palm Beach County treats leaf blowers under its general lawn-equipment noise rule rather than a blower-specific ban. The Unified Land Development Code prohibits operating lawn or garden maintenance equipment that generates excessive noise at the property line of inhabited residential land between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. There's no daytime decibel cap or gas-vs-electric distinction written into the rule, it's an overnight quiet-hours restriction tied to the general nuisance-noise standard. This applies only outside the county's 39 municipalities; Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach and Jupiter each set their own rules.
Violations & Fines
Code Enforcement investigates written complaints; a violation is a public nuisance the County Attorney can pursue through injunctive relief, separate from any code enforcement fine track.
