Gas-powered leaf blowers typically produce 70-80 dBA, meaning they can only practically be used during daytime hours. There is no outright ban on gas-powered leaf blowers. Minnesota does not impose a statewide leaf blower restriction. Violations are reported to the Department of Safety and Inspections at 651-266-8989 or Saint Paul Police non-emergency at 651-291-1111 for after-hours complaints.
