Bethel Code Chapter 108 sets nighttime as 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. In a Class A (residential) zone, emitted noise may not exceed 55 dBA daytime or 45 dBA at night (§108-5). Daytime is 7 a.m.–8 p.m. Mon–Sat.
Chapter 108, adopted 12-6-2016, conforms to Connecticut State Regulations §22a-69-3.5. Residential (Class A) emitters are capped at 55 dBA day / 45 dBA night; impulse noise may not exceed 80 dB at night to a residential zone or 100 dB at any time. Lawn equipment is exempt 7 a.m.–8 p.m. The Bethel Police Department enforces (§108-9).
