Full Breakdown

Coral Gables bans amplified sound (radios, speakers, musical instruments) that disturbs neighbors at a louder volume than needed for voluntary listeners. Between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and between midnight and 7:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, amplified sound plainly audible 100 feet from its source, or from the exterior edge of the building, structure, or vehicle it's coming from, is prima facie evidence of a violation. Special events and parades follow chapter 62's noise rules instead.

Violations & Fines

Police or code enforcement issue a verbal warning first; continued violation after the warning draws a fine under section 1-7, or a section 1-7(c)(3) fine if a special magistrate finds the violation irreparable.
