(a)Every vehicle shall be equipped and maintained so as to prevent excessive or unusual noise. Every motor vehicle at all times shall be equipped with a muffler or other effective noise-suppressing system in good working order and in constant operation, and no person shall use a muffler cut-out, by-pass or similar device. [...] (c)The operation of any vehicle in such a manner as to create any loud, unnecessary, or usual noise that is excessive, disruptive, injures or endangers the comfort, repose, health or safety and interferes with the use or enjoyment of property by any person of reasonable sensibilities is a nuisance and unlawful.(d)Penalty.1.Upon conviction of a violation under (a) or (b) of this section, a fine of up to $500 shall be imposed.2.Upon conviction of a violation under (c) of this section, a fine of at least $250 but not to exceed $2,500 shall be imposed.
