Commercial vehicles over 10,000 lbs GVWR are prohibited from overnight parking on Citrus Heights residential streets. Oversized vehicles face 2 AM-6 AM restrictions citywide (CVC Β§22507.5). Loading/unloading briefly permitted.
Citrus Heights Municipal Code restricts parking of commercial vehicles in residential zones. Semi-trucks, tractor-trailers, box trucks, and other commercial vehicles over 10,000 pounds GVWR typically cannot be stored overnight on residential streets or on residential private property unless actively loading/unloading (typically under 2 hours). Contractor trucks and vans associated with a legitimate home occupation may be permitted during the day but often must be stored off-street at night. Under CVC Β§22507.5, any vehicle over 22 feet long or 7 feet high (measured from ground) is prohibited from parking on Citrus Heights residential streets between 2 AM and 6 AM where signed. In commercial and industrial zones, commercial vehicle parking is allowed consistent with business operations. Advertising trailers and inoperable commercial vehicles are subject to separate nuisance provisions.
Commercial vehicle parking violation: $100-$250. Oversized 2 AM-6 AM: $50-$100. Repeated offenses may result in tow.
