Section 10.33.070 of the Lakewood Municipal Code makes it unlawful to park a commercial vehicle, commercial trailer, truck exceeding 6,000 pounds empty weight, or any trailer-and-vehicle combination over 25 feet long or 8 feet wide on the public right-of-way, unless it is actively rendering service to a property within 200 feet. Vessels and non-self-propelled trailers other than travel trailers may not sit longer than six hours a day under the same service exception. Moving the vehicle to a different spot on the right-of-way is not a defense, the vehicle must leave the right-of-way entirely, and code enforcement officers, community service officers or police agents may have it towed to an impound lot.
